Update: NDIS Payment Delays for Replacement Supports

Last updated: 3 November 2026

We’ve identified a significant change in how long the NDIS is taking to process payment claims for replacement supports. Claims that were previously processed in around 5 days on average are now taking more than 30 days.

Who is affected

The delays apply across the sector. They affect claims lodged by all plan managers, as well as Assistive Tech’s NDIA-managed claims. This isn’t specific to any one provider or plan manager.

What we’re doing

Assistive Tech has engaged directly with the NDIS on behalf of industry to raise the processing delays and push for a return to normal timeframes.

What this means for you

If you’re waiting on a replacement support, your claim is likely still in the queue rather than rejected. Our team is tracking every claim we’ve lodged and will contact you if anything further is needed.

If you have questions about a specific order, contact our support team and quote your order number.

Further updates

We’ll update this article as more information becomes available from the NDIS.
