Smart home and environmental control devices are classified in the AT-HM Code Guide under assistive products for environmental control (AT-HM code 24 13 03).
These products are considered an "Under Advice" support. Professional input from an occupational therapist is recommended to confirm clinical appropriateness and assess the home environment.
Eligibility and funding approval are determined by the individual's Support at Home provider and must align with the person's assessed needs and care plan goals.
